Biltong2u Limited (THE COMPANY) Registration No: 4895913. VAT No. 862 5966 82. Contracts are made and orders accepted only upon and subject to these terms and conditions of business. For (private) retail consumers these terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights in any way.

By placing an order on our website, it is deemed that you agree to our ‘Terms and Conditions’ of sale.


PRIVACY POLICY
We are committed to protecting your privacy, therefore we will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and according to the ‘Which? Web Trader’ Code of Practice.

When an order is placed, we collect information about the customer for 2 main reasons: Firstly, to allow us to process your order.
Secondly, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your full consent and if so, we will give you the chance to refuse any marketing e-mail from us by indicating clear instructions at the bottom of any of our advertisement e-mails.

The type of information we will collect about you will include: ·

  • Delivery Address
  • Phone / Contact Number’s
  • E-mail Address
  • Credit/Debit card details (By our external Secure SSL Server).

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent and any information that we do hold will be kept accurate and up to date.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our company’s ‘Internal Security Policy’ based on the law contained in the ‘Which? Web Trader Code’.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a cookie internet file which would be stored on your browser. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you, but not collect sensitive information. A user is able to modify their browser to prevent this happening.

SECURITY POLICY
We have an effective security policy that we review on a regular basis.

All debit / credit card details that are given to us by, ‘you’ being the customer, are done so on a renowned SSL secure server, known as RBS WorldPay or PayPal. The transfer of the purchase details from our site to RBS WorldPay or PayPal are encapsulated using a encrypted and digitally-signed protocol. This uses a combination of standard methods such as PGP, RSA and MD5 to ensure that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof.

We do not store any of our customer’s payment details on-line.

RETAIL ORDER TERMS
Payment is to be made by debit / credit card, cheque, postal order or money order. Payment is to be made in advance of dispatch of any goods.

Title of goods for (retail customers)
Goods supplied by Biltong2u Ltd to customers remain the property of the company, until paid for in full by the customer.

Prices
Orders are subject to acceptance by the company and to the availability of goods and will be invoiced at prices ruling at the time of acceptance. Orders for forward delivery are subject to any changes due to fluctuation in exchange rates and changes of rates of duty, freight charges or insurance premiums, therefore should there be a change of price from the time of your order and to the goods being dispatched, we will notify you of the changes and allow for you to accept the new terms.


DELIVERY / SHIPPING TERMS
For Retail Customers:

  • Orders are not subject to a minimum order value.
  • Delivery will be made to the address specified by the customer on the completed order form.
  • Usually orders are dispatched within 72 hour of receipt of order as long as all goods are in stock, if something is out of stock we will notify you and make prior arrangements before the goods are dispatched.
  • Orders placed will be delivered within 21 days maximum, unless we have contacted you and agreed alternative terms.
  • If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular product, we will notify you as soon as possible.
  • We do our best to secure delivery within the time specified but shall not be liable for any loss occasioned by delay in delivery arising out of any cause beyond our control.

  • All goods must be signed for on delivery by an adult aged 18 years or over.
  • If no one of that age is at the address when the delivery is attempted the goods may be retained by the driver, in which case the driver will leave notification of attempted delivery and you will have to telephone the courier company direct to rearrange a delivery day.
  • If the goods are returned to us, due to an overlap time being exceeded by the delivery courier company, a further delivery charge may become payable in order for us ‘Biltong2u Ltd’ to re-send your order.
  • We cannot be held responsible for any spoilage of your goods if you were not in to receive your delivery.

If you are not able to accept your delivery on the day that we inform you it will arrive, you can arrange for the following but only before your goods are dispatched:

  • Arrange for a different delivery day.
  • Re-arrange delivery at an alternative address.
  • Ask for your parcel to be left with a neighbour at your risk.
  • Ask for parcel to be left safe on your premises, at your risk.
  • Contact the courier company to re- arrange for the delivery to be made to you, we cannot be held responsible for any spoilage of your goods if you were not in to receive your delivery.

Although every effort will be made to deliver goods as ordered, the company cannot accept responsibility for delays due to circumstances beyond its control. Delivery dates & time are given in good faith by the Company to indicate estimated delivery times but shall not amount to any contractual obligation to deliver at the time stated and is subject to payment clearance, locality, human error, courier company error and system failure. The company will accept no liability for direct or consequential loss or damage arising from delay in delivery beyond our control.

We reserve the right to refuse to supply any individual or company.


DELIVERY CHARGES
Our ‘Delivery Charges’ are segregated into 5 zones.

UNITED KINGDOM MAINLAND ONLY
Retail customers: all orders are calculated automatically upon reaching the checkout process. Delivery charges are dependent on weight and location, and, will be shipped either by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery/Special Delivery or via our Courier.

CHANNEL ISLANDS / IOM / N. IRELAND
Retail customers: all orders are calculated on the basis of weight and is calculated automatically on our shopping cart system. Your order will be shipped by International Small Packet Postage.

(Postage costs may vary over a certain weight, we will contact you if there are any additional costs).

WESTERN EUROPE
Retail customers: all orders are calculated on the basis of weight and is calculated automatically on our shopping cart system. Your order will be shipped by International Small Packet Postage.

EASTERN EUROPE
Retail customers: all orders are calculated on the basis of weight and is calculated automatically on our shopping cart system. Your order will be shipped by International Small Packet Postage.

REST OF WORLD

We deliver worldwide and shipping rates are dependent on the exact weight of the order and the location to which the order is to be shipped.


CLAIMS

Any claims made before prior communication with the Biltong2u Ltd’s ‘Customer Service Department’ will not be considered.

For orders sent by mail, any claim will not be considered if the goods are signed for as received in good condition.

  • All goods must be counted upon receipt in terms of quantity and condition or in a reasonable time, of which will depend on the exact product being dispatched. Any shortage shall be indicated on the delivery note, ideally after a resonable amount of time however ideally within 24 hours of delivery.

Credit may not be given if any of the following circumstances apply:

  • If goods are returned to us, without prior agreement from the Biltong2u Ltd’s ‘Customer Service Department’.
  • If any losses are incurred due to the incorrect storage or merchandising by the customer, of any goods supplied by Biltong2u Ltd.
  • If an order is cancelled without notifying Biltong2u Ltd’s ‘Customer Service Department’, in advance and in writing.

Any claims made against any orders, this being the contract between the company 'Biltong2u Ltd' and the customer must be made within 6 months of the order being placed.


COMPLAINTS

We will endeavour to resolve any complaint in full within 14 days of the matter arising.

Faulty Goods
If the goods turn out to be faulty or different from those the consumer ordered, we will offer the consumer a full refund. This will be done within 30 days of agreeing to give the refund at the latest.

Mistakes in bills, receipts or payments
We will endeavour to resolve any mistakes in bills, receipts or payments as soon as possible, and at the latest within 30 days of agreeing to do so.

All goods offered by the company are guaranteed to meet statutory requirements. However, the company cannot accept responsibility where goods supplied are subject to further processing or re-packaging by the customer.
