Terms & Conditions

Biltong2u Limited (THE COMPANY) Registration No: 4895913. VAT No. 862 5966 82. Contracts are made and orders accepted only upon and subject to these terms and conditions of business. For (private) retail consumers these terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights in any way.

By placing an order on our website, it is deemed that you agree to our ‘Terms and Conditions’ of sale.


We have an effective security policy that we review on a regular basis.

All debit / credit card details that are given to us by, ‘you’ being the customer, are done so on a renowned SSL secure server, known as PaymentSense or PayPal. The transfer of the purchase details from our site to PaymentSense or PayPal are encapsulated using a encrypted and digitally-signed protocol. This uses a combination of standard methods such as PGP, RSA and MD5 to ensure that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof.

We do not store any of our customer’s payment details on-line.

Payment is to be made by debit / credit card, cheque, postal order or money order. Payment is to be made in advance of dispatch of any goods.

Title of goods for (retail customers)
Goods supplied by Biltong2u Ltd to customers remain the property of the company, until paid for in full by the customer.

Orders are subject to acceptance by the company and to the availability of goods and will be invoiced at prices ruling at the time of acceptance. Orders for forward delivery are subject to any changes due to fluctuation in exchange rates and changes of rates of duty, freight charges or insurance premiums, therefore should there be a change of price from the time of your order and to the goods being dispatched, we will notify you of the changes and allow for you to accept the new terms.

Any claims made before prior communication with the Biltong2u Ltd’s ‘Customer Service Department’ will not be considered.

For orders sent by mail, any claim will not be considered if the goods are signed for as received in good condition.

  • All goods must be counted upon receipt in terms of quantity and condition or in a reasonable time, of which will depend on the exact product being dispatched. Any shortage shall be indicated on the delivery note, ideally after a resonable amount of time however ideally within 24 hours of delivery.

Credit may not be given if any of the following circumstances apply:

  • If goods are returned to us, without prior agreement from the Biltong2u Ltd’s ‘Customer Service Department’.
  • If any losses are incurred due to the incorrect storage or merchandising by the customer, of any goods supplied by Biltong2u Ltd.
  • If an order is cancelled without notifying Biltong2u Ltd’s ‘Customer Service Department’, in advance and in writing.

Any claims made against any orders, this being the contract between the company 'Biltong2u Ltd' and the customer must be made within 6 months of the order being placed.

We will endeavour to resolve any complaint in full within 14 days of the matter arising.

Faulty Goods
If the goods turn out to be faulty or different from those the consumer ordered, we will offer the consumer a full refund. This will be done within 30 days of agreeing to give the refund at the latest.

Mistakes in bills, receipts or payments
We will endeavour to resolve any mistakes in bills, receipts or payments as soon as possible, and at the latest within 30 days of agreeing to do so.

All goods offered by the company are guaranteed to meet statutory requirements. However, the company cannot accept responsibility where goods supplied are subject to further processing or re-packaging by the customer.

Biltong2u Ltd is committed to complying with the latest EU Regulations.

Data Retention and Data Erasure - we do not keep data 'just in case'. Each customer has an online account with Biltong2u Ltd which allows for easier repeat ordering. We keep an online account on file for a maximum of three years from date of last order for non-members. The Biltong2u Ltd members club is life-time membership, therefore the details will remain on file for the lifetime of each member. Should you wish for us to delete your account or should you wish to cancel your membership to the Biltong2u Ltd Club, then please contact us at our sales office via email. Information is NEVER sold on or given to any third parties other than those necessary to complete the transaction (such as our payment processing company and the courier/postal service).

Data Portability - Should you wish a copy of what information Biltong2u Ltd holds on yourself, please contact us at our sales office via email. Please note that ID checks will need to be verified and it may be that you will be required to attend our sales office to get this information to comply with the Data Protection Act.

Voluntary Consent - We don't automatically think you want to receive our marketing emails and you may un-subscribe at any time by contacting our sales office via email. You will be removed personally by an appropriately trained person.
